After a drug overdose claimed his sister, True "TJ" Bannister abandons his celebrity lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock and roll to seek redemption and peace. Now, running a quiet bookstore in picturesque Cape Cod, he dreams of a fairytale ending but fears his troubled past makes him unworthy of love.

Sara Storm, determined to step out from her brothers' shadows, arrives in Cape Cod to pursue her singing career. Needing extra income, she takes a job at TJ's shop, where her infectious optimism starts to melt his guarded heart. He begins to believe in the possibility of a brighter future, with her.
