About this ebook

Letting go of the past means risking it all…

After years of living with her controlling father and brothers, Kimberly Lloyd simply wants to make her own decisions. Living in Bar Harbor, Maine, working as a paramedic is the first step to free herself from her overbearing family. She won’t let anyone take her job or new friendships from her.

When tragedy ended his military career, Rico Montenegro fled to Mount Desert Island and found solace as a park ranger. He’s finally letting people in and forging close relationships. When his friendship with Kim seems to be turning into something more, he fears his past mistakes will keep him from moving forward.

A series of deaths on Otter Cliffs—with victims eerily similar to Kim—leave Rico determined to safeguard his new love. But his protectiveness threatens to drive Kim away…and straight toward the killer.

A beautiful story following the evolution of friendship to love for Kim and Rico. The story definitely kept me guessing in relation to the culprit for some Search and Rescue incidents that Kim and Rico participated in during the story. I would rather that the way the culprit was unveiled near the end of the story was different for the characters' sake but also recognise it just wouldn't have carried the same oomph if that had truly happened.
