Kindle is great half complete idea. if you just use it to read a book it may be fine. It's greatly lacking in the area of search functionality. I've kindle for pc, android and Oasis. While the hardware is nice I would never recommend it to anyone that sometimes needs to search for something. Amazon has zero plans improving the software. As a matter of fact it got worse when they removed formats the Kindle supports.

The export of notes is terrible. Editing notes in the app is a hassle, so if you want to remove some of them before exporting them, you are constantly scrolling around trying to find your place. They don't make the notes easily readable in the app, so you have to export them. When you export them, it's a hassle. Either bits of text come out the other side or the file never manages to upload. Hasn't changed in years.

i love Kindle! I do miss the feel and smell of real books, but as I have aged, and grown weaker, it's harder to hold them for long periods or to turn the page while holding the book. A big plus is that I can have 30 or 40 books on Kindle at one time, but not have clutter, and not have to deal with bookmarks falling out and not remembering where I left off! it's not just for you g people, it's good for us oldies as well!
