Whilst it has taken me several years to get used to Alexa, I am finally beginning to see how useful they can be. The fact that they do always listen in is just a feature you need to be aware of. If they weren't "listening" all the time, they wouldn't hear the wake word!! If you had a fall or were incapacitated, you could use voice calling to enable help to reach you. They are really very versatile and can be fun too . :-)

Good features, but the app user experience (UX) needs a lot of improvement. Simple tasks that should take 30 seconds can sometimes take up to 5 minutes because the app feels disorganized. Additionally, when you update a routine or setting, the entire page refreshes, forcing you to scroll back down to where you left off. I believe it is a web-based app inside an Android app container. Please make this a native app to make it faster. On new update, (Re)learning the app should be intuitive.

Alexa for Android is extremely slow and frustrating to use. While Alexa as a service is excellent, the Android app is a major letdown. It’s unresponsive and makes even the simplest tasks unnecessarily time-consuming. I believe the app could benefit greatly from the latest advancements in AI, which will hopefully happen soon. My negative review is specifically for the Alexa app for Android, as it is unfortunately required to configure the service. The experience is truly awful.
