I loved reading this book. It has a beautiful naiveity to it when telling the story during the protagonist's childhood, and seems to mature as a novel alongside her life. Every time I read this I take something new, and understand things differently and better from it.

Wonderful characters, a truly happy-sad set of people's lives and loves. I want there to be a sequel that tells more of what happens to the narrator next...

Amazingly written, but at times a bit too harsh. I ended up ugly-crying in many places.
