About this ebook

Diego believes that it’s important to focus on the sunny side. The beautiful arcs of color that appear in the sky may be known as rainbows, but they wouldn’t appear if the sun didn’t shine.

He’s lived through enough darkness. These days, he’s focused on all the good in his life—and there’s so much good. He doesn’t have a woman who’s a permanent fixture—but he does have plenty who pass through temporarily.

He likes women; they like him! He’s outgoing, fun-loving, and enjoys being the star of the show.

Izzy’s fun-loving and outgoing, too. She also enjoys being the center of attention, and right from the moment he meets her, Diego wouldn’t mind focusing some attention on her. But she’s just not interested.

At least, she claims she’s not.

At fifty-five, Izzy has life figured out. She’s that divorcée who’s living it up and enjoying her status as an attractive cougar on the prowl.

She enjoys the company of younger men—they enjoy her! She’s not looking for anything serious, and certainly not with a man like Diego. Sure, he’s sexy, and funny … and passionate … and romantic! But he’s also that big macho guy who needs to be in charge, and his ego is even bigger than his …

Diego might be a romantic, but she’s not one to get suckered in by hearts and flowers or talk of rainbows and unicorn farts. In her experience, the crock at the end of the rainbow is filled with something other than gold, and she has no desire to go there again.

Get your copy of this sweet and steamy romance today, and you’ll laugh and cry with Diego and Izzy on the journey to discover what lies at the end of their rainbow.

This book is intended for readers aged 18+

We met Izzy and Diego in A little rain must fall which told the story of Ted and Audrey. As best friends to Ted and Audrey they helped them along to find love. Diego was attracted to Izzy from the start but she would not give him the time of day, she preferred younger men and had a no strings attached philosophy. But then Diego was also a player and for some reason Izzy knew that he may be dangerous to her heart to get involved with in any way. Diego however could not get her out of his mind and decided to put in a last ditch effort to win her over. Izzy could not withstand his charm and decided that maybe a one night stand will get him out of her mind. But Diego wanted more and when she got to know him better she learned that there was much more to him than a charming playboy. But will Izzy be able to trust in a man again and will she let herself open to love, even while Diego is showing her with everything that he wants her in his life for more than just a fling? This is a story about learning to trust again and letting yourself be open to love despite past hurts. Another wonderful story from one of my favourite authors. I've received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.

I received an ARC for my honest review. Here it is....I love visiting our friends at the lake. This is book four in the Summer Lake Silver Series. You could read it as a stand alone however If you haven't read any of SJ wonderful stories I do suggest that you go to her page and read the books in order to get the full experience. There are so many wonderful characters who show up in each story. I was immediately drawn to Izzy's character in Ted & Audrey's story "A Little Rain Must Fall" and I couldn't wait to see what was in store for Izzy and Diego. SJ had me hooked from the very beginning with her stories and I am always excited for the next one.

I absolutely love the chemistry between these two! I loved that because of Diego, Izzy is finally working through her hang ups/past demons. Diego is such a kind soul and I love him for her. As always, it was nice catching up with the Summer lake crew especially Zack and Maria and Ted and Audrey. I love that all of these books can be stand alone books but also give you so much more if you've read them all. This is such a heartwarming story, and I highly recommend it. And don't let the fact that this is an older couple deter you. I'm 31, and these characters are my parents age but that didn't take away from the story for me. It captured my heart just as much as the books about the younger generation. Can't wait for the next one!

About the author

Hi, I'm SJ, a coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
