About this eBook

This summer at Lake Bittersweet is going to be a scorcher...

Firefighter Jason Mosedale doesn’t take anything seriously except fires—not even himself. With his lighthearted approach to everything from dating to raising his teenage sister, he loves his life just how it is. But if he wants to catch the attention of gorgeous Kendra, he’s going to have to break out of his comfort zone and prove that he’s more than the charming town heartthrob.

Kendra Carter has always been an overachiever, which is why losing her business and her boyfriend in one swoop was so soul crushing. Now she’s back home in good old Lake Bittersweet, running her father’s restaurant and licking her wounds. If she isn’t the big success everyone expects, who is she? Maybe what she needs is a sexy distraction in the form of a gorgeous fireman--even if she could never take Jason seriously.

So what if they’re both on the rebound? As long as they agree it’s just for now, not forever, no one will get hurt.

Between toxic exes, heroic rescues, and a teenager’s secret, who has time for romance anyway? But that’s the thing about a rebound...you never know where it’s going to end up.

The Rebound is a friends to much more tale of Jason and Kendra, Jason and Kendra went to high school together. Kendra’s girlfriends Carly and Gina believe she should get the “rebound” fling done so she can move on in her personal life. Their choice is Jason. The two of them rekindle their friendship and cannot deny their attraction for each other. They decide to have a “rebound” relationship the rules are since they each know that this will probably never last hearts should be safe not the case.

This was an entertaining read that ticked boxes for me. From the first chapter to the last I was riveted to Firefighter Jason Mosedale and Kendra Carter’s story. His life is full as he fights fires and looks after his teenage sister, and he enjoys life to the fullest. Kendra has returned to Lake Bittersweet after breaking up with her boyfriend and losing her business. Now she finds herself running her dad’s restaurant and trying to work out her future.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a fun romp between two people who have known each other from high school, they also share the same group of friends, but they are also very opposite in personality and dreams. This is not really a second chance romance because they have never even kissed.
