Swati Agarwal is currently working as an Assistant Professor under the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Media and Communication, Adamas University. She has an experience of 7 years in media academics and takes active interest in guiding the students. She is UGC-NET qualified and has completed her Ph.D. from Adamas University. Her research papers have been published in reputed Scopus-indexed journals and UGC CARE listed Journals. She had pursued her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Calcutta. She has actively participated in many national and international conferences, contributing significantly to research efforts. Her research interests are social media, development communication. Additionally, she is working in exploring the digital divide and its impact on media students’ adaptation to technology in India.

Dr. Sharmila Kayal is currently working as an Associate Professor with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the School of Media and Communication at Adamas University in Kolkata. Before joining Adamas University, she was a full-time research scholar at Pondicherry Central University in Puducherry. There, she was a recipient of the university- accredited UGC Research Fellowship for five years. She did her Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Ravenshaw University in Cuttack. She has actively participated in international conferences held in Dubai in 2018 and Bangkok in 2019, where her papers were published in reputed and prestigious journals. She has papers in the Indian Journal of Ecology, a NAAS-credited and Scopus-indexed journal. She also holds an additional Master’s degree in Criminology and Police Administration.

He has had a brief industry stint spanning roughly around four years. He is a research enthusiast and has published his research in SCOPUS-indexed, WOS, and UGC care-listed journals, along with book chapters with international publishers (Routledge and Taylor & Francis) and several peer-reviewed journals. He also has four edited books in his list that are available on Google Books, Amazon, and Flipkart. His areas of research interest lie in advertising, sustainable communication, consumer psychology, and media economics.
