Katherine Applegate is the New York Times bestselling author of numerous books for young readers, including the 2013 winner of the Newbery Medal,The One and Only Ivan. Some of her middle grade books include Crenshaw and Wishtree, and she also cowrote the Animorphs series with her husband, Michael Grant. She currently lives with her husband in California.
