Questo definisce i termini del dramma occidentale, fatto di ambiguità, segreti, dissimulazioni e disvelamenti, rovesciamenti, cadute ed esaltazioni. E tuttavia, sebbene il perseguimento dei valori fondativi dell'Occidente sia un'opera che non potrà mai compiersi, è una fatica di Sisifo che, nella sua drammatica provvisorietà, rappresenta il lavoro più nobile che ci sia concesso fare.
