My Forever Plus One is part of the Daring Divorcee series. It's a steamy, friends to lovers, later in life romance. Owen and Evelyn are both divorced and met about 10 years ago in a divorce support group. They have become best friends and are always each other's plus-one to events. They really do share everything, but both also have a lot of emotional baggage and hurt from their prior relationships and are afraid to lose their friendship. This was such a great, realistic, romantic story. I loved the rawness of this relationship. We got some good spice and a happy ending, but it was quite an emotional roller coaster getting there. A very emotional read. Evelyn and Owen have been best friends since they met at a divorce support group after their divorces. There is a lot of chemistry and attraction between them.They don't want to ruin their friendship by getting into a relationship. They eventually do,but there are ups and downs because of their pasts. It is so sweet how they are there for each other.They do get to a happily ever after. The friendships and family support are great,there are lots of emotions,steam,romance and a sweet happily ever after. They were a couple before they were a couple. Besties after their divorces and always together. They fell in love with each other with no pomp and circumstance, their easy friendship becoming so much more over time. Adjusting to their new status took a little work, but the love they shared pulled them through. A great friends-to-lovers romance with enough heat to fry your eyeballs and warm your heart.
