About this ebook

I should not still be hung up on my high school girlfriend.

I’m a billionaire, with a penthouse in New York City, a private plane, and was recently crowned one of Manhattan’s most eligible bachelors.

She’s engaged to my rival. A real prick of a guy whose family is about as famous as mine. So, pictures of the happy couple are plastered everywhere, and it’s driving me insane.

The last time I spoke to her was my freshman year of college, and I never imagined I’d bump into her at a crowded restaurant in the busiest city in the world. But fate had other plans, and when I innocently suggest that the press wouldn’t bother with her wedding plans if she held it in our small Alaskan town where we grew up, I had no idea she’d take me seriously.

Now, I find myself helping her plan the wedding at my dad’s luxury resort while the town’s gossip app follows our every move, afraid that their golden boy will get his heart broken twice by the same girl.

But that’s impossible because she stole my heart when we were fifteen, and never gave it back.

I have to say up front, I loved the first two books in this series. This one, not so much. There are a lot of things to love about this installment featuring Lance and Kenzie, of the Lake Starlight series. I loved Lance, he is a nice, hot and rich. I also loved catching up with all of the Bailey clan and that the ghost of Great Grandma Dori is still spreading her matchmaking fairy dust from beyond the grave. What kept this from being a five star read for me was Kenzie.

"Sometimes you find the love of your life when you're young." The Trouble with Runaway Brides is the third book in Piper Rayne's Lake Starlight series. It is a sweet, emotional, and slow-burn second chance romance between Kenzie and Lance. Lance really wasn't thinking when he suggested Kenzie have her wedding in their hometown, it was just a slip of the tongue, a natural reaction. Heck, What were the chances she would think it was a great idea? Turns out pretty high These two were the It coup

Now I'm a huge fan of the Bailey clan and the second generation, but I knew this was going to be a tough one going in. I was not a huge fan of Kenzie going into Lance and Kenzie's book. These two take one very bumpy journey. Both of them back in Lake Starlight, but the reason why leads to some awkward moments. I think both of them truly needed this because it gave them some time for soul searching and being back where it all began doesn't hurt either.
