Paul Kua holds a Ph. D. in history and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He has published books, chapters and papers in English/Chinese on history of East-West encounters, mission history in Asia, Chinese numismatics, and history of education and Scouting. Paul joined the Hong Kong Scout Movement in late 1960s, and has been involved since then as a youth member/volunteer leader/supporter. He had served as Deputy Chief Commissioner, Association Archivist, etc. of Scout Association of Hong Kong and on Management Sub-Committee of the Asia Pacific Scout Region. He is also a Baden-Powell Fellow of the World Scout Foundation.
