About the author

Nathan Sawaya is the first contemporary artist to take LEGO into the art world. Painstakingly crafted, his work is both beautiful and playful, and elevates this ordinary toy to the status of fine art.

His unique sculptures and renowned touring exhibition, The Art of the Brick, breaks attendance records globally. Nathan has received numerous awards recognizing his art and cultural achievements. In 2014, he founded The Art Revolution Foundation, for the purpose of making art a priority in our schools and homes. He has spoken at Google Zeitgeist, TEDx, Yahoo! and the Clinton Library.
