About this ebook

Enjoy this laugh-out-loud, steamy romance series from multi-award-winning romantic comedy author Evie Alexander…

Libby Fletcher’s life is a dumpster fire.

No boyfriend, no roof over her head, and her acting career in tatters – Libby’s life is falling apart at the seams. So when grumpy Lord Henry Foxbrooke offers her the role of ‘fake girlfriend’ for his thirtieth birthday celebrations, she jumps at the chance.

One weekend in the country, pretending to adore a ridiculously handsome, uptight heir? Easy, right?

Wrong. Foxbrooke Manor is a real-life Downton Abbey on steroids, Henry’s matchmaking family is way too involved, and there’s only one bed… As their chemistry skyrockets and the situation goes wildly off-script, Libby’s struggling to separate what’s fake from what’s… not.

Love ad Lib is a multi-award-winning, laugh-out-loud, spicy romantic comedy packed with fake-dating chaos, swoony one-bed tension, and sparkling banter – perfect for fans of Pippa Grant, Lauren Blakely, Rosa Lucas, Annika Martin, Kayley Loring, and Lucy Score! No cliffhanger, no cheating just pure romcom gold with the grandest of gestures and the happiest of endings!

Evie writes the BEST steamy RomCom!!! You will be laughing out loud and get butterfly feelings when reading this book. This is the first in the Foxbrooke series and it was brilliant. It is a Grumpy/Sunshine, Fake Relationship, Opposite Attracts and Close Proximity Tropes. This was a modern day Regency story and I was intrigued in how it would work out. But Evie pulled it off without any problems. Lord Henry is a shy, keep to himself kind of guy. He is perfectly happy living on the other side of England in London and is in no rush to take over from his very eccentric father. Libby is a very kind, bubbly and loving person. Unfortunately things are not going well for her at the moment and she has been hurt by too many men in the past. She teaches improve and also is very good at it herself. So when Henry is forced to take a girlfriend back to Somerset to celebrate his 30th birthday, Libby is the perfect person to take with him. They set a contract for a fake relationship in ret

I cannot hide how much I love Evie's books. They are full of great characters, humour and fun, the perfect plots to satisfy our romantic little hearts and of course her trademark spice!! This is the first Foxbrooke book - although I have also read the mini novella One Night in Foxbrooke - so some of the characters were already familiar to me. This was lovely coming back to the start of the series and being introduced to everyone properly. Evie manages to write such diverse characters but they all just jump off the page and you just can't help loving them - even the grumpy ones! The storyline was perfect and I always love that we never get bogged down in anything too heavy and serious. These are perfect light reads to just sit back and relax in the sun with. I read this in 2 sittings and am already missing everyone - I'm sure it won't be long before I'll be back with the gang and seeing what shenanigans await us in book 2.

Libby was a doll, and Lucas was an *ss. No, really...total BEHIND and a sorry excuse for a person. She was so out of his league, it's not even funny, but her improv routines, now those were a hoot! Watching her put her people skills into action was like poetry and the perfect balance to our unsuspecting, yet desperately in need of a life, Henry. Loved him to bits, even his aggressive/protective side, and his need to control things was self explanatory once you met his parents, but despite his lack of communicating clearly, he had a lot of love to give. Beyond the potential couple, I rather liked the extremes the author explored and yet made the effort to show how they could still work together.Chalk and cheese... maybe but together they could be something special! My only caution...have an open mind, not easily embarrass or blush, and be prepared for all the innuendo...or even straight out TALK because there's definitely no shortage! **ARC for review, opinions are my own
