This book is set around the same time as book 2, Hollywood Games. In the chaos that the actors bring, Rory enlists the help of Charlie - as an ex-security guard, he was the perfect choice to help him out. When Charlie meets Valentina - all sense goes out of the window and what starts off as a cute and friendly bit of fun, soon starts to develop into something much more. I absolutely adore Charlie and Valentina - I say this every book, but Evie just has a way of making these characters so relatable and they just jump off the page at you and grab you into their world. Same with the settings. The fun trips that the couple take - skinny-dipping and pub crawls as well as the idyllic castle backdrop to it all is just perfect for a brilliant rom-com. As ever, the writing style is bold, fun and sexy with so much going on that you literally can't stop reading! And I can't stop smiling and sniggering throughout - (yes! I do keep getting strange looks from the kids!!)

I love a book that can make you laugh, make you swoon and make you pee pee your pants! Love me some military men, especially in kilts! Charlie was the highlight of this story. Valentina gave me so many laugh out loud moments. The banter and chemistry between these two was electric. And the thought that went into making such connections between them so meaningful was exquisitely done. I did not want this book to end and was a solid addition to the Kinloch series.
