About this ebook

Assertiveness, the foundation of this book, is about effectively communicating your needs and setting boundaries, while respecting the needs and boundaries of others. It's about finding the subtle balance between making your voice heard and giving others the space to voice their opinions. The art of assertiveness provides you with a detailed blueprint to help navigate the tricky waters of interpersonal relationships in both personal and professional environments.

Here is a preview of what you'll learn...

•                  The 5 causes of lack of assertiveness

•                  Fast exercises to gain confidence immediately

•                  Helpful one liners to break in to any situation

•                  What you are missing by not being assertive

•                  Secrets the confident people at work don't want you to know

•                  How to raise assertive kids

•                  Simple daily ritual to stay assertive all day long

•                  Much, much more!

Many of us also go through life never truly experiencing what we want. This can either be the perfect relationship, a dream career or a particular lifestyle we had always envisioned for ourselves. The simple reason why we don't go for what we want with more determination is because we have picked up the belief that we must be passive and nice as to not offend others. The problem with this behavior however, is that it gives others the chance to walk all over us.

I love this book. I really related to a lot of the material in it. I have always struggled with standing up for myself and my ideas and this book, I think might help me. I'm not sure it's working to be honest but all of the advice seemed very practical and down to earth. I think if you do the exercises in the book, your ability to stand up for yourself and make your way through work and relationships will improve.

I enjoyed reading this book and learning how passive I’ve REALLY been all my life. Learning the new techniques, I’ve already learned how to be more assertive AND have put it to use. Let me tell you, it works! I feel awesome and so proud of myself! This book taught me it’s ok to ask for what YOU want in an assertive way, and to stop being such a push over by saying yes to those things, even people, you really want to say no to. This book is a quick read that has soooo much to offer. Such as the power to free yourself in order to expose the best of you, in a respectful but assertive way. Recommended!

This is an excellent, eye opening book on making concrete changes to become more assertive in all aspects of your life. Too many of us fail to create boundaries in our lives, and this book clearly teaches how to do that. I really enjoyed the author's tone, which is one of acceptance and understanding. We all have ways that we can grow, and this book addresses many of those with tons of real world, actionable examples. I especially enjoyed the 21 day action plan. An excellent read!
