Academy Of Beasts VIII: Shifter Romance

This is a quick read with conflict, strong feelings and so much more. In this eighth installment Fiona is beginning to understand the paranormal and fit in more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I'm not sure which is thicker at this point, the plot, which seems to get more and more suspenseful, or the tension between Fiona and the council. Granted, it's a tension of the delicious kind, so there's that, and Fiona's 'council boys' don't exactly make things easy for her. She does get a few more answers on that front, but along with those answers comes more questions about her parents and what happened to them. Each of these quick reads is exactly what a serial should be. Becca Fanning gives us a bit more with each new addition, and one thing is certain - I'm completely hooked and can't get enough of the Fiona and her guys.

I absolutely love this series, I cannot wait for each book and to see how Fiona's journey is progressing along with her ever evolving relationship with the council boys. Fiona comes from the human world where more than one romantic partner isn't normal and she is having a hard time dealing with her attraction to all of the boys. At the same time as she is dealing with that she is also having to explore her burgeoning powers and what exactly that means for her and the guys on missions.
