Whether it’s her shopping sprees between classes or her revolving door of ill-conceived hobbies, he is only too happy to lecture her on all the finer points of adulthood she’s so hell-bent on ignoring. But despite his gripes—and much to his own chagrin—Knightley can’t help but notice that the girl next door is a woman now…one who he suddenly can’t get out of his head.
As Emma’s best laid plans collide with everyone from hipster baristas to meddling family members to flaky playboy millionaires, these two friends slowly realize their need to always be right has been usurped by a new need entirely, and it’s not long before they discover that even the most familiar stories still have some surprises.

I just adored this friends to lovers romance. I really loved Knightley. He knew what he wanted, he just had to wait for Emma to realize the same thing and once she did, it was worth the wait. Emma was fun and lived I life I will never know. I loved all the mentions of the designers that she would wear. Seeing as I am from Ohio, I could see myself being Nadine with Emma helping me! LOL Overall this was a wonderful debut story from these two authors and I highly recommend reading it.

Delightful, engaging, and fun novel filled with messy situations formed from undiscovered love and feelings. The character of Emma is a whirlwind of action and adorable. A definite winning novel. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm a sucker for a great contemporary Austen retelling, and this one is adorable. It's sensual and emotional, with engaging characters and a compelling plot. I can't wait for the next book in the series! Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Audrey Bellezza is a two-time Emmy Award–nominated TV producer who has spent over twenty years writing, developing, and executive producing nonfiction television shows for a number of networks and streaming platforms. Audrey lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
Emily Harding is one-half of the writing duo behind the For the Love of Austen series, including Emma of 83rd Street and Elizabeth of East Hampton. She is a graduate of Emerson College with degrees in both creative writing and film. After working over fifteen years in television development and production, she found her way back to writing. Emily lives in Dallas with her husband, two children, and an incredibly spoiled Texas heeler.
