About this audiobook

Payak - When a rogue Sinth Guardian disappears onto planet Earth, I'm not sure if he's investigating the alien abduction of Humans he discovered or if his message to me meant something more ...

Mavin has disappeared, so I make sure I’m first in line, paying tribute to the Ashen aliens who protect the planet Earth where he was last seen. He’s like a brother to me, and after his last punishment by our ruling body the Sinth Sovereignty, he needs to know we all care—so he doesn’t disappear into his personal dimension forever. What I don’t expect, is to find an Earth female so alluring, it appears she can see right into my dimension. She can see me! Unfortunately, we’re called in for infectious testing and notified that the Wen virus has appeared on Earth. Now, we’ve been split up and assigned to help find the source of the disease's arrival. As warriors against what the Humans are calling the Zombie Affliction Contagion, we utilize our dimensional phasing to stop the spread across the globe before it causes an apocalyptic catastrophe. It’s more important than ever to find out if Human females could be mating compatible, since phasing into our dimension means there’s a chance for their species if we fail to stop the contamination. Will Teresa let me close enough to test our compatibility? What will it mean for the future of Earth if I fail?

Teresa - The last thing I need is a hot, drool-worthy one night stand!

As the Housing Coordinator on our secret military base, I run into a man who’s easily the best looking I’ve ever seen. With dark hair and light piercing eyes, he catches me off-guard when he practically acts like a barbarian as he continues to relentlessly pursue me—despite my denial of interest in him.

Received an ARC thorough Author's Direct for an honest review. Umm.. I honestly don't know what to say. This was an audiobook so I'll mention some issues there too. First things first. The book starts really slow. If you don't look at the cover, you never really find out what the book is about until maybe 7 or 8 chapters in. It shouldn't take that long to make your point as to what's going on. The explanation of what a "Sinth Seeker" is, does and where its from is not dropped until chapter/track 14 and as the title of the book it honestly should be a lot sooner. I liked the concept of the romance but it felt like there were way too many ideas and to many other paranormal traits involved into the story line between the blood sharing, the zombie like disease that people were being infected with on top of the alien aspect. It kind of became annoying after awhile. Other characters were touched on but not really explained. Like I would've really like to know what the hell was the female aliens problem... She had a bad attitude the entire book and it was never explained. People are not just annoyed all the time for no reason. The ending was so abrupt we don't know what the hell happens. It just freaking stops. Yes, the author explains what the plan is but there's no resolution for the aunt or anything else. It's like, you're listening to a song you like and it just cuts out at the good part. No cliffhanger... Just a freaking cliff. I was disappointed but since there were things I did like, I couldn't give it a bad rating. 3 ⭐. Now the audio issues. I REALLY, REALLY hope you plan to re-cut the audio. The narrators were slow even AFTER speeding up the audio. They also had no voice inflection and sounded very bored. Also.. I absolutely HATE when a book repeats the name of the book at the beginning of every chapter. When you are reading it's one thing, when you're listening it's obnoxious and annoying. Trust me, I'm not gonna forget the name of the book I'm currently reading. I also have a pet peeve of pronouncing words incorrectly. If you're not sure, ask. But I'm pretty sure "hubiliated" is not a word. When it was in the context of embarrassment. You Also don't say envelope (to surround yourself...) As "ahn-vel-loped". It's "in-vel-lope". I'm supposed to go on to the next book in the series Sinth Source but I'm not sure I'll get it done in time.

This is an interesting story it has the potential to be an awesome audiobook with some tinkering and I was kind of getting into it but I find Teresa to be kind of annoying from the start. I hoped that as the story developed her personality would improve or she would grow on me but I just couldn't connect with with her on any level. To me she is immature, lacks basic communication skills, doesn't think through the possible consequences of her potentially deadly actions and is just self-centered and entitled. Payak, on the other hand is much more compassionate and he almost makes up for Teresa's shortcomings in my opinion. Not a fan of this particular ending as it almost feels as if the book is just incomplete and doesn't really create a demand that I get the next book to continue the story. I probably will but I'm in no rush to see what happens next in this particular series. Not sure if this is down to production or if it was actually recorded this way, but the narration is far too slow. I had to play this at 1.2x speed so that the speech sounds closer natural. However, the span between sentences especially during discussion dialogue between characters is unnaturally long and voices sound a little robotic. It could do with another edit as there were a couple of points where a 2nd take was made of a sentence and both versions are still in the recording. I have tried one of her other series which more than proves that Pearl does great work, but this just isnt on par with her usual standards I'm sorry to say. *I was given a free copy of this audiobook for an honest review*

I enjoyed the book. Good story, well written. Nice amount of spice. I thought male narrator could have shown a little more emotion during intimate scenes. Overall an entertaining read.
