About this audiobook

Welcome to the Prequel of The Sinth Strain Series. A Sci-Fi Alien Romance.

Amy - I've had it with Brad. If bad relationship after bad relationship has taught me anything, it's how to recognize when I'm not happy. It's time to move on! I feel better with that decided, but I can't give him a chance to convince me otherwise. That's why I have no intention of telling him before he leaves or giving him a chance to convince me to relocate for his new job with him. No way. Not. Happening.Staying in my car at Yosemite overnight seems like an ideal plan. Until the strange, teal light illuminates my car, and I wake up in a cage with three other people. Everything outside the window is pink and red on the planet, and I don't feel very well ...

Mavin - I'm assigned to this boring planet after a mishap with early reporting, but it doesn't have to be all by the book—all the time. I'll never get out of here to discover new things if I don't follow my gut and take some chances. It's not like my superiors can ground me anywhere worse. With that in mind, I'll check the feeding stations on Teleplay exactly where I want. I can't explain why I feel as though I'm being pulled to this building ... as if there's something demanding my attention and waiting to be discovered. When I stumble across some contraband species, my premonition makes more sense. But what isn't as clear, is why despite the Wen virus racing through their bodies, the female of the species calls to me on a primal level I don't understand ... and she can see me. After reporting them, can I leave her here to die if there's even the remotest possibility she could be my mate?

PLEASE NOTE: This SciFi Romance alien book contains Adult Language and Steamy Adult Bedroom Scenes. It is intended for 18+ Readers & Adults Only. It's part of a science fiction romance series but can be read as a standalone story with no cliffhangers!

Received an ARC thorough Author's Direct for an honest review. This story was a little better than book 1 though it was still slow and there wasn't really any real conversation between characters. No real explanation of what a Sinth was and where they come from. There were parts of the story that I felt were missing where it felt like a C rated movie where it literally fades to black and cuts to another scene with no real explanation of what happened in between. I enjoy a book that adds humor to the story and this had a little bit of that and that is a plus in my opinion but since the story was so short, there wasn't a lot. The relationship and romance developed really quickly without them really having a true conversation so that was a little weird but hey.. whatever floats your boat. The audio part leaves something to the imagination. The narrators were very monotoned and bland. The reading was extremely slow, choppy and robotic. I actually sped up the audio and it was still really slow. There were a few times were words were mispronounced and I gets if you're not a stickler for that sort of thing it's okay. For me, it just kind grated on my nerves. They weren't even words that are considered the potato/po-tah-to type of situaiton either. at track 9/Chapter 6 (3:00) male narrator says "ah-tre-butes" instead of "at-tri-butes" when referring to sinth characteristics. track 6/chapter 3 (13:52-54) female narrator says "disorienated", which is not even a word, when referring how she physically is feeling. Once again; I have to say that it is really annoying to have to hear the name of the book at the beginning of every chapter. Readers don't want to hear that every time. I don't think we'll forget the name of the book we are reading. All in all.. this book was ok. I give it 3 stars just for the comedy part, but I honestly didn't like anything more. I doubt I will return to this author, especially in audio form.

Great Prequel!! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this awesome background story in the Sinth Strain Series. If you’ve listened to or read the other books in this exciting series, you must listen to this book as it explains what led to the Sinth discovering that humans could be compatible mates and what led to the Sinth Guardian team to be assigned to Earth to discover who was kidnapping humans from Earth to be sold as fodder for aliens on another planet. Narrators Pearl Tate and Rodney Steele do an excellent job in bringing this story to life!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting story has potential to be an awesome audiobook with tinkering. But FMC is an annoyance from the start. I couldn't connect with with her on any level. She's immature, lacks basic communication skills, and is just self-centered and entitled. MMC is much more compassionate almost makes up for FMC shortcomings. Ending makes book feel incomplete I feel no urge to read next book. Narration is far too slow voices sound too robotic. I got a free copy of this audiobook for an honest review
