As a genetics researcher, he has coauthored more than eighty publications in Nature, Science, the New England Journal of Medicine, and other scientific journals. Dan lives with his wife and children in Ohio.

Austin Rising is an actor and audiobook narrator who hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico. His on-camera credits include Better Call Saul, The Night Shift, In Plain Sight, New York Prison Break: The Seduction of Joyce Mitchell, Longmire, and Hostiles.
