Nigel Smith is a journalist, playwright and TV comedy producer. He has also co-written the BBC One sitcomDoctors and Nursesand the comedy seriesTeenage Kicks, broadcast on both radio and TV.In 2001 he suffered a serious brain illness, which inspired him to write the award-winning BBC Radio 4 comedy seriesVent, as well as chronicle his life-changing experiences in this highly acclaimed book.He is married with three children and lives on the south coast with most of them.
