Marcello Di Cintio

Marcello Di Cintio went to Africa in 1997 as a biology teacher with Canadian Crossroads International, an overseas volunteering organization. After a teaching stint in Ghana, he set out for a ten-month journey across West Africa. His travel writing has been featured in a number of publications including Prism and Prairie Fire. An excerpt from Harmattan was shortlisted for The Writer's Union of Canada short prose competition in 2001. Di Cintio lives in Calgary and Harmattan is his first book.
