James Taylor has been writing about cars since the late 1970s. He has very wide tastes but, inevitably, a few firm favourites, and among those favourites is the Land Rover marque. He has become respected as a Land Rover historian and in this capacity has acted as a consultant to Land Rover itself. For the first decade of the 2000s he was the Editor of Land Rover Enthusiast magazine and now continues to contribute tales of Land Rover history to various magazines and through social media. Needless to say, his garage contains some much-loved examples of the marque.
