Eoin Mclaughlin is a bestselling children's author. The Hug was his first book. It was named a Book of the Year by the Guardian and has been translated into over 25 languages. It was awarded a D&AD Pencil. Before becoming an author Eoin was a creative director at Channel 4, where he once had to bake cookies for the Cookie Monster. They must be 10cm wide and have precisely six chocolate chips. His films have been shown at the Cannes Film Festival and are held in the permanent collection at MOMA. Originally from New Ross, in Ireland, he now lives in Mauritius.
