Dr. Manish Rannjan from IAS, 2002 batch currently works with the Government of Jharkhand. He was the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate in various districts of Jharkhand. After his initial education from Netarhat Vidyalaya, Netarhat, and Patna College, Patna, he graduated from Hindu College of the University of Delhi. He has an MBA degree from Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Gujarat. Dr. Rannjan holds a Ph.D in Management Studies. Dr. Rannjan has recently completed Masters of Public Affairs (MPA) from University of California, Berkeley. He was recipient of the UK GovernmentтАЩs prestigious Chevening fellowship to study at University of Oxford. He has also been trained at Johns Hopkins University, USA; Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany; International Training Center, Turin, Italy and Korea Development Institute, South Korea. His project on use of disruptive technology for agriculture has been widely appreciated by the World Bank, Washington DC. He received the тАЬDirectorтАЩs Gold MedalтАЭ for securing first in order of merit in IAS professional training. He received the Prime Minister тАШMGNREGA Excellence AwardтАЩ for two consecutive years, and тАШNirmal Gram PuraskarтАЩ from the President of India. He has also been awarded with тАШAsian Federation of Intellectual DisabilitiesтАЩ тАШStar Raft AwardтАЩ of Japan and SPANDAN award by Government of India for his exemplary work for people of special needs.
