B. Charlie

Tahre' Gaskin better known as Charlie B. "The Voice Of The Silence" is a self proclaimed philanthropist who has a gift she uses to assist in the healing of herself, as well as other. Since the age of twelve Charlie B has always written poetry from an empathetic standpoint, being able to connect and feel others was more than just a talent. It has been her way of life. She now performs Spoken Word throughout the streets of Baltimore and uses the inspiration from an oppressed city to raise awareness and depict the stories of the untold. One of her greatest accomplishments thus far as a spoken word artist, was June 4th when she was provided the opportunity, alongside her dear friend Leairra Williams, to open up for Author and Motivational Speaker Kondwani Fidel. Following, Charlie B was interviewed by StoryCorps, an organization that uses people's life stories to connect individuals with one another all across the globe. That interview can be heard in the Library of Congress located in Washington D.C. This young woman not only is an author/spoken word artist, but she also enjoys modeling, using her testimony to minister young women such as herself, and community outreach. She graduated from high school in 2012, where classmates thought she wouldn't be anything more than just the angry black girl who was always fighting, but now she's a newly SELF PUBLISHED author who uses real life experiences to show other's that though change is uncomfortable, it's always worth it. Grow through what you go through. As The Voice of The Silence, Charlie B will continue to strive in the progression of young women, especially young black women.
