Boyd Bailey

Boyd Bailey graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985. Afterward, he served as the associate pastor at First Baptist Atlanta with Dr. Charles Stanley. Stanley gave Boyd the opportunity to cowrite some of his books and taught him lifelong lessons about servant leadership and studying the Bible. In 1995, Boyd and his wife, Rita, began working with Crown Financial Ministries to help churches teach their members wise financial principles. The ministry grew, and Boyd was blessed to serve over thirty-two offices across the country as the national field director. In 2001, Boyd and Rita cofounded Ministry Ventures. At Ministry Ventures, they trained and coached ministry leaders in prayer, strategy, and administration. For over sixteen years, they helped more than one thousand Christian ministries reach their God-given potential. In 2004, Boyd founded Wisdom Hunters, which helps people apply unchanging truth in a changing world through sound biblical teaching and application. Wisdom Hunters reaches over 150,000 people daily in eighty-six countries through email, social media, blogs, podcasts, and the YouVersion app. Boyd likes to say, "I am not a great writer, but I am able to write about great things." Boyd serves on several boards, including Mission Increase, Wisdom Hunters, and The River Foundation. Since 2016, Boyd has served as the president of the National Christian Foundation of Georgia, helping hundreds of families manage donor-advised funds. The Baileys have four daughters, four sons-in-law, and twelve grandchildren. They both love traveling, hiking, and loving on the grandbabies. Boyd and Rita are grateful to Jesus Christ for his love and forgiveness that give them the energy to serve and love people every day.
