Alastair Agutter

AUTHOR'S FOOTBALL BIOGRAPHY As the author, Alastair Agutter in many respects was fortunate as a young School Boy Footballer. As his coaches were Tony Bentley a former Stoke City Professional Player, who played with Gordon Banks. Alastair was also coached by Peter Taylor (spud) former Tottenham Hotspur Player and England Manager. So Alastair's grounding into the correct training and football skill development of the game was from the very best. He also attended a Football Association Managers Coaching Course in the 1990's and played in the National Daily Express five a side tournaments as a youngster in the 1970's. Alastair also founded a local club in his community, giving his free time and attended coaching courses in his latter years and received an endorsement for his efforts in the community from Peter Taylor former England Manager. His greatest achievement in Football beyond his own personal memories of playing in flood lit grounds on Friday nights, was the coaching of his youngest Son at a very early age Christopher, who went on to become a player, and at the time of publishing the book, a development Coach at Brighton Hove Albion in the Professional English Football League. Sport has always been in the genes of the Agutter family, Alastair's Father was a rower at Putney and Roehampton and his Great Uncle George Agutter author of "Lessons in Tennis" was a professional Tennis player at Queens Club and went over to America as a Professional Tennis Player and helped established the American Professional Tennis Players Association, where in his latter years George Agutter became the 'Dean' President of the Association.
