Matt Mantrell is an ordinary college student living an unremarkable life—until he translates the mysterious runes on an ancient parchment, and is suddenly pulled into a world where reciting verses works magic. Instantly, his useless Master’s Degree in poetry becomes very useful indeed.

For in this world—an alternate medieval Europe—demonic forces have slowly conquered kingdom after kingdom. Only Merovence remains… and it’s hanging by a thread. The satanic sorcerer Malingo has assassinated the king, usurped the throne, and imprisoned the last rightful heir, Princess Alisande. Using his newfound magic rhymes, Matt helps her escape—and their quest to win back Merovence for God and Queen begins.

Over the course of the epic Wizard in Rhyme series, Matt and his allies strive to liberate the continent from the grip of hellish cruelty and corruption. But to do so, they must confront powerful enemies, from devilish sorcerer-kings wielding infernal magic, to barbarian hordes worshiping dark gods.
