A shipload of dogs and puppies has arrived on Puddin’ Head Island, but the islanders have no clue how to care for them. When the Union family can’t take their new rescue puppy, Waggers, on tour with Maya's famous teen sister, Maya and her best friend Lily volunteer to dog-sit at Uncle Puddin’ Head’s house. The problem? Maya's uncle is obsessed with his pristine lawn, and the wacky neighbors aren’t exactly welcoming to dogs—or to children from outside the community.
