Acceptance

Tossed out on the street for the life I chose to live, I was shunned by family and friends alike. Whore. Slut. Pervert. Those were the kinder names they called me as the door slammed closed in my face. Had I not been in college at the time I would have had nowhere to go, no means to support myself. For ten long years I put them out of my mind and moved on. While I could never replace my family, I made new friends, friends that understood who and what I was from the very beginning. And for the first time in a very long time I was truly happy. And then there came a knock at my front door.

Looking out through the peephole, I nearly had a heart attack. Standing there on my front porch after a decade was the ringleader herself. My mother. She came to apologize, to once and for all understand why I’ve chosen to live my life as a submissive, but she had a mountain to climb if I were ever going to let her back in my life and I sure as hell was not going to make it easy on her.
