We like to read books in our home, although I often prefer to read personal development, academic, or business (in general, non-fiction). So I'll admit that I wasn't particularly interested, and more than a little bit sceptical, when my sons asked me to read Halo to them at night. Now here I am admitting that it is a good, non-fiction book that is read again. aside from being well written (and easy to read), it is full of action, has an interesting storyline and doesn't have any bad language or sexual content. Overall it was a fun book to read with my boys, and one is be willing to read again (and will read the next book, the Flood, as well).

This book is an action packed and in-depth look at the beginning of the Spartan 2 program, following John 117 as he faces a covenant invasion and becomes the legendary Spartan we know today. REMEMBER REACH!

I read this book several times when I was younger. I loved this book. I haven't read it in probably 10 years. I'd recommend it, but thinking about it, I wonder how reading it would have been if I had never played the Halo games.
