This series is one that I can't put down! The second I finish one book, I immediately start the next one. I'm a sucker for second chances and anything with rescuing or helping animals. Darcy has a crush on the one man who's maintained his distance from her, but has done more to help her than she knows. I loved how this story unfolds and it's my favorite one in the series so far! Absolutely fantastic! Everything you expect from a Jill Shalvis romance. Humor, incredible characters, snarky banter and unbelievable chemistry between the H/h fill this pages of this wonderful book. We've met Darcy in previous books in this series and now we really get to know her and understand the reasons behind some of that bravado. Falling for the oh so hot physical therapist AJ Colten was never going to happen. Nope. No way. This installment of the Animal Magnetism series is fantastic and a recommended read for everyone.

What a powerful novel. Shalvis takes readers deep into her characters’ lives for a truly heartwarming (and at times heartbreaking) story. The combination of loss and recovery was sharply poignant, not only allowing readers to connect with the character emotionally, but also allowing them to experience part of it for themselves. She develops her setting in a picturesque manner that is very easy to picture. This may be the 6th novel in Shalvis’ Animal Magnetism series, but it can also easily be read as a standalone novel. The main characters invite you into their story from the moment that you meet them. It amazes me how vulnerable Darcy could be while still being one of the strongest individuals I’ve ever met. Contrasted with AJ’s stoicism you meet a powerfully captivating couple who battle against more than their fair share of problems. Shalvis has populated this novel with a cast of character that you simply can’t walk away from. Once I started reading this novel I couldn’t put it down. Shalvis mixes romance with real life recovery, and throws in a large side of chemistry to create the ultimate small town romance.
