About the author
Der Philologe und Historiker Hubert Cancik lebt in Berlin. Von 1974 bis 2003 arbeitete er als Hochschullehrer für Klassische Philologie und Geschichte der antiken Religionen an der Universität Tübingen. 2008 erhielt er zusammen mit seiner Frau Hildegard Cancik-Lindemaier die Ehrendoktorwürde der Universität Basel.
