It help me to understand my dog more than I did. The big words she use I did grasp to well, but I made it! through alright. I did enjoy on how dogs are. Next time I buy pine or sage shampoo hopefully she will like that better than rolling in fish guts!

I found this book most interesting and helpful for a lot of reasons. One, you never know what your dog is thinking or feeling.. why is he sniffing his butt or rubbing it on the ground, what is he really seeing?!
I didn't find it drab or boring and I listed it on my blog of 5 fun books from google.

Respecting this authors voice of authority and knowledge, I was shocked to read that she gave her dogs raisins and grapes, which are highly toxic to dogs! If I can know this, just from educating myself on what not to feed my dog, why doesn't she?

Alexandra Horowitz is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know; On Looking: A Walker’s Guide to the Art of Observation; Being a Dog: Following the Dog into a World of Smell; Our Dogs, Ourselves: The Story of a Singular Bond; and The Year of the Puppy: How Dogs Become Themselves. She teaches at Barnard College, where she runs the Dog Cognition Lab. She lives with her family of Homo sapiens, Canis familiaris, and Felis catus in New York City.
