About this ebook

The story they all clamor for paves the gateway to hell.

It’s not the brushstrokes, composition, or her brilliant use of light and color. It’s not the agonies underlying the paint or the dream of revealing something both momentous and simple with the sweep of the brush.

It’s just the damn story.

They all clamor for it, but every time Leigh is obliged to tell it, it wears away a little piece of her soul.

Soon she will be soulless.

Their love story started a little unconventionally with a ‘messed up’ painting which ended up becoming too famous because of its story. But still things for Leigh and Roger seemed to be going right after that. But all of a sudden Roger goes missing with his yacht. The two detectives keep coming back to Leigh to ask why she and Roger had broken up. Crisp, short story which makes you wonder about people, their stories and who they are in real life. Enjoyable read.

Beyond its ecological importance, the blood red maple holds cultural and symbolic significance. Indigenous peoples in North America have long revered the tree for its practical and spiritual qualities. The sap of the red maple can be harvested to produce maple syrup, a sweet treat that has become synonymous with the region. Furthermore, the Ojibwe and other Native American tribes attribute spiritual significance to the tree, using its branches in various ceremonies and medicinal practices.
