A well written and enjoyable collection of short stories. Some of them, like the prologue and epilogue, don't really hit their mark, but chapter 1 and 4 in particular are fantastic pieces of character development you don't really get from the manga.

A truly great story that managed to capture the essence of the original story. The writer, much like Arakawa, has a really interesting way of conveying music in a visual medium. The writer's understanding of these characters is impressive, and allows for interesting and emotional stories that feel like a natural extension of the source material.
