Great book pointing out the failure of successive Australian governments to deal with unemployment. Mitchell demolishes the neo liberal idea that we need a buffer stock of unemployment to control inflation and then presents a comprehensive plan for full employment using the Job Guarantee. This is economics that serves people rather than the other way around.
