I thoroughly enjoyed this enticing read. To start I must say that I found the storyline fresh and fun. I can't say that I've never read anything else like it but it is not a concept that is overused either. Very quickly I was completely invested an consumed by this well written tale and its wonderful characters. I simply adored Olivia and Sebastian!! Opposites in so many ways but so totally perfect for each other, these two are going to steal your heart and leave you swooning. The smartly crafted blend of emotion, drama, suspense, action, heart and romance was pure perfection and entirely to potent to resist. I loved it and am so looking forward to enjoying more from what looks like to be a clever and utterly delightful series. I am posting an independent, impartial review.

Maddison Michaels starts off this new series of hers, Secrets, Scandals, and Spies, with a fabulous and exciting first book, The Bachelor Bargain!! Honestly, once I started reading it, I had a hard time putting the book down because there's so much going on and you don't want to waste your time doing something else! lol The two main characters, Seb and Livie, from two different worlds in society, should never have even met but circumstances deems it necessary and from then on, their lives will never be the same again. I love how she stands up to him:) This author's style of writing makes sure your interest is at an all time high throughout the book and not only do you get mystery, danger, traitors, etc, you also get a romance that will curl your toes and make your heart beat a little bit faster:) I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

"It had been a long time since anyone had dared question his decisions. He didn't know if this Lady Olivia was daft or just stubborn as a mule. Perhaps both." Loved this story! Olivia was determined with a capital D to find the wastral who had killed her friend. But she needed an investor to help her fund publishing a gazette in order to help bring those down in the aristocracy that took advantage of women. Sebastian Colver was the King of the Rookies and he could not believe this woman came into his office and did not back down. But he made a bargain with her in order to fund her paper, she had to do something for him. "You're playing with fire making a deal with me.... You do understand that don't you?" Bring it on! If that doesn't pull you in, trust me you want to read this fabulous story!
