Rose is having her baby whether she is ready or not. Like doesn't just stop when you are having a baby and we all know that Rose's life is anything but calm and collected. Everything seems to be happening good and/or bad and she's doing her best to keep it together. Rose is one of my all time favorite characters and I love the way she has grown from a quiet and scared woman to a outspoken woman who knows how to get what she wants. She has three very powerful men in her past and depending on who you ask there's team James, team Mason, and team Joe. For me, it's always been Team Rose. She is my roll model. I strive to be like Rose. This book was shocking in a lot of ways and many of them or things I never saw coming which is what I absolutely love best about Denise's books. She definitely deserves the title of one of my favorite authors of all time. You don't want to miss this book and if you haven't read the please please do yourself a favor an pick up Twenty Eight and a Half Wishes. You won't regret it. This is worth so much more than 5 stars.

Those that have been following this series, and have been waiting for this particular installment, are in for an intense ride! So much happens you might find yourself staying up till 4am like me as you just won’t be able to put it down! Rose is now thirty-eight weeks pregnant and could delivery her baby any day. She has gone into nesting mode and wants everything tied up nicely before her little treasure is born. But in true Rose Gardner fashion, it’s not as simple as abc. Her niece and nephew, Violet’s kids, go missing and Rose enlists all her friends to help her find them. She is hormonal, emotional and exhausted but she won’t give up until they are safe. Mason, whom I adore, also comes to help Rose and they brainstorm out at the farm, trying to put the pieces together. This bought happy memories for me, and glad they are in a good place now. There is still the dilemma of the Hardshaw group and if they have anything to do with the bodies Joe is investigating. Within her own personal life, Rose makes some definitive decisions on where she wants to take her life going forward. She wants stability and a loving home to raise her child, like the rest of us. Her business is still thriving with Bruce Wayne busy with the landscaping side and Neely Kate and Maeve looking after the nursery store. I got a good sense that things are falling into place for Rose and I’m excited for her. I’m not sure how many more books are to come from this series, but if it was to end soon, I’m happy with the outcomes so far. Fans of this series will not want to miss this episode and they will be hooked till the very last word.

And we are back into Rose universe. What we know so far (if you haven't read the books before this one, then you either need to read them all or write me so I can't tell you everything you need to know about these novels) Rose is pregnant, her sister left her something in her will that is missing (and we know who is responsible for that) with probable criminal evidence against her ex-brother-in-law. Everything has been quiet for a while and for once that was nice. That was until she encounters Mike at the store and he starts to act more suspicious than normal, and when she is supposed to pick up her niece and nephew he just doesn't let her see them. The next day they uncover a body in one of Mike's construction sites and everything starts to get more fishy when they can't get a hold on Mike... nor the kids. And even though Rose is ready to pop at any minute but she can't help herself from looking out for the kids, and this has put her at her ex's sight once again. This was a rollercoaster read, a hormonal Rose is funny but kind of annoying? didn't love her that's for sure but not as annoying as her drama Mason period (yes sorry, I was, am, and probably always be an anti-Mason, sue me I have strong feelings about him, none of them good). I think I have more questions than answers with this book about the criminal activity that has been happening, Denise has hinted that we may be reading the end of this arc in the next book and after that, we don't know what Rose's future will hold. If we talk about Rose's romantic life... well that was for sure resolve here. I won't give away any spoilers, because that wouldn't be fair, but I think this has been brewing for at least two or three books and I find myself smiling at the thought of the future for them. I have too many thoughts in my head, I feel happy and sad, I have a lot of questions that I'm not sure if I'm prepared to know the answers to. We'll see what the future holds for all of them. I don't know how I'll hold my curiosity for driving me crazy, since we are not going to have the next book until January 2021, but we'll live.
