I highly recommend that you study the parts of this book which focus on Eastern Orthodoxy, and show that the Russian Church understands where the West is coming from in its troubles with Islam and immigration in Western Europe and Scandinavia, and in North America, and we all share a resistance to Islamic terrorism at the fringe of Islam, though the majority of Muslim immigration is peaceful and assimilationist. This is a good book, and my other reviews of it were not meant to be overly critical. I would give it a 3 rather than a 2 now. It is an okay book.

Hanne Nabintu Herland pulls back the veil to reveal the condition of the West spiritually, politically, and morally and how we got here with a concise, no-nonsense approach. Hanne doesn't simply state the challenges and then wring her hands like so many others do, she offers a solid game plan for the greatness that logically follows when returning to our founding principles. I believe "The Culture War" is a necessary read and a handy resource for those well versed in history, worldviews, and/or politics, and for those who sense something has gone awry, and are seeking answers. No doubt, there is something for everyone in her timely, info-packed resource. Judy Salisbury, Founder/President, Logos Presentations Author of "Reasons for Faith" and "A Time to Speak"

This is an excellent book if you are looking for insight into the hows and whys of the culture we are living in. Herland goes into detail about the Christian roots of our western civilization and how they have been distorted over the years. It was especially interesting to me how Christophobia has developed and I can now recognize how pervasive it is on our society. There are chapters on the financial crisis, family breakdown, hedonism, and tolerance as oppression. I highly recommend this book if you are searching for answers to the cultural questions about why the church doesn't take a bigger stand in our world.
