About this ebook

Clarion Rating: 4 out of 5

"A timely and quirky romance novel...featuring plenty of mishaps and face masks, Six Feet Apart is a charming, COVID-inflected romance about love during an unending lockdown."

Claire Foster, Clarion Book Review

Passion is contagious! Love in a pandemic can't be quarantined in this offbeat, playful romance. Can social distancing turn up the heat, rather than smother the flames? Luna James, a reluctant, wanna-be influencer, unexpectedly meets a mysterious undiscovered musician, Stryker Caine. He is self absorbed, and thinks the world revolves around him. She is beautiful, yet shy, and struggles with attention.

A quirky character, Luna’s voice is fresh and bubbly. There is dash of speculative fiction involved in the book and its futuristic setting. This book is an easy, sexy and fun read! Follow Luna for a fun, humorous journey making life in the pandemic a little more bearable. The story flows nicely making it hard to put the book down as the nuances and complexities of Luna and Stryker’s magnetic relationship unfold. Ultimately, who will find redemption? Featuring original songs.

Six Feet Apart started out strong with an interesting world where we are a few years past the whole Covid nightmare beginning. The way the world was described was interesting and honestly, I could see things going that very way in the future. I did get lost from time to time as the point of view would change without warning of any kind. I got someone used to that but it still made things flow slightly less smoothly in reading. I loved the character of Luna, her confidence is something that everyone woman should have. And watching her build that confidence was an excellent part of the story. I wish we could have had a little more of how she came to be filled in but we did get the basics to complete the story. Eventually, the virus itself became secondary in the story, which was fine with me, and the lost love became the primary focus. Everyone has that one that got away, and this certainly appeals to that. Who wouldn't want a second chance with the to whom we compare everyone else to in the future? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
