I almost cried and died at the same time when I bought the hardback edition of this book! Although a lot of people have been criticising Stephenie Meyer for writing a book that was almost exactly the same as Twilight, I myself have decided to judge the book depending on the storyline, not any similarities it has to other books by the same author. I found Life and Death almost as good as Twilight and loved the ending. The book was as intriguing as Twilight, because the characters weren't the same.

I wasn't sure how this book would pan out, but after the first few chapters my head had got around the swap around in genders of the characters, and I could see the new characters taking shape. By the end I was engrossed in the two leads, Edythe and Beau. Loved reading it! Thank you Stephenie!
