Indigo has only ever her mother once in her life, and as such knows very little about the life and culture of the mythical Fae but our heroine knows she is a Banshee, and uses her voice to entertain the crowds but when death is imminent, our heroine is unable to control the cries, cries that warn of death and dying. Tarrien knows that to protect Indigo is to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love but Tarrien finds himself struggling in the aftermath of an attack wherein someone more powerful is controlling the behind the scenes. The relationship between Tarrien and Indigo is one of immediate attraction but Indigo refuses Tarrien’s help and order of protection. Tarrien battles between head and heart knowing to get involved with Indigo could mean losing his ability to remain powerful and cold.
