In Bed with the Beast

I love any kind of fairy tale retelling and I especially love one based on Beauty and the Beast. This book did not disappoint. Belle is a bookworm who spouts random facts out at any given time. She’s never lived on her own, never been in a relationship and she has never had any friends. Now, she’s been booted out of her father’s basement, running a business with her two new best friends and is falling hard for Beast. I love a growly, grunting alpha hero and Beast/Vincent certainly lived up to that. He seemed to have Belle’s best interest at heart although he may have something going on that he’s keeping from her. We never get his point of view and I definitely missed having that. More so because he’s more of a growler than a talker causing the story to sometimes feel a little off balanced. I still enjoyed the heck out of this story though! Belle was so freaking cute with her nervous habit of spouting off trivia that no one needed or wanted to know. And when it came time to seduce Beast she was a hot mess that just made me love her more. Cindy and Ariel, her friends, are both heavily involved in this story and I loved getting a glimpse of Cindy’s relationship with PJ all while growing more excited to read Ariel’s story. This is a fast paced read with some heavy chemistry between the main characters along with fun and humorous scenes with the secondary characters. It offers a wonderful opportunity to escape the humdrums of day to day life and I loved every moment of it! This story is a fun, sexy take on the story Beauty and the Beast. Isabelle "Belle" Reading has been the quiet, shy girl her whole life and now at 25 years old she is ready to have some fun, but her very strict dad has other thoughts on that idea. When Belle gets caught by her dad sneaking back into the house dressed up as he calls a hooker with her best friends Cindy and Ariel, she ends up moving out of her dad's house. Now living in the library where she works her life is falling apart. Belle just learned that the library is in danger of closing so Belle decides she is going to be a stripper at Prince Charming just like her friend Cindy. In the meantime, Vincent "Beast" Adams, who works at Prince Charming, keeps showing up at the library. Beast finally tells her she can move into his house instead of sleeping on the floor of the library each night, but he has a few rules that she needs to abide by. The biggest one is not going into the one room that is locked! As the two of them try to navigate living together, it is fun watching the big, surly, gruff guy deal with the sweet, quiet, shy girl. When Belle tells Beast that is going on blind dates to try and learn how to be sexy so she can be a stripper to earn money for the library, he is not happy. Each of her dates turn out worse the last! When Beast finally agrees to help her be sexy, that is when the fun begins. As these two get closer and closer, past secrets start to be revealed. What Belle doesn't know is that the biggest one has yet to be revealed. It takes a leap of faith that truly can stand the test of time! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale so I knew I'd love this story. It was fun, entertaining and sexy all at the same time. I really loved how every now and then a part of the story popped up that mirrored the original. Overall I really enjoyed Beast and Belle and their path to their happy ending!

A Laugh out loud, think I may have peed a little, snorting drinks out the nose read. Yes guilty to all. In fact I think I scared my cat just a little. This is why I love all Tara Sivec books. Not only does she give you major laughs but she also gives you amazing real characters with the edge of total hotness. In Bed with the Beast (in case you haven't figured it out yet) you get Belle the librarian filled with all sorts of facts, Beast aka Vincent who is more then what you think. Vincent is gruff and total Alpha make your lady bits tingle all man. Belle may be a little quirky but she is finally ready to take her place in the Naughty Princess Club. And boy does she use Beast to her advantage. Mrs. Potter is one of my favorite side characters. You can't help but love the loveable old lady with no filter who works with Belle. You have everyone back in this with Cindy and Ariel trying to help Belle gain more male experience. Not only will you be laughing your booty off with every dating misstep but you will fall in love with Vincent's protectiveness. But just wait for it.......you'll see.........In Bed with the Beast is one of my favorite reads from Tara. This series keeps getting better and better. I can't wait for Ariel's story and I'm kind of hoping that Tara can come up with a few more princesses to through in the mix for even more books. Honestly I don't want this one to end. I mean come on it's funny, sexy and full of surprises as you flip through the pages. A MUST READ!!!!
