This is a great book for beginners and anyone else who's looking to get a better understanding of barbell training. I have not completely read through the book because it's not that simple. As soon as a concept arises where I am able to apply it to my lifting, I do so. If it works, then great, I adopt it. If it does not work, I refer back to the book to re-read the section to make sure I understood correctly. The book has really helped in the area of improving my deadlift and bench. I am still in the process of learning how to squat correctly using the methods outlined in this book, which has been a challenge, however I have noticed improvements slowly over time

I was quite surprised at how effective this program is. I found a comprehensive (meaning whole body) but simple (meaning safe and scalable to my ability and strength) exercise system that I can do well into into my retirement. If you are over 40, or will be some day, and you want to learn how to stay active and healthy this is the real deal. Old-school even. I'm glad I found this book. I've had many personal trainers over the years and their information was hit and miss and as I got older resulted in more injuries. This book is all good and no misses yet.

This has been one of my favorite cookbooks for meal prepping. I usually double the recipes so that I can spread them out throughout the week since I don’t have time to cook everyday. The breakfast hash is my absolute favorite and I actually really like eating it almost everyday! It’s that good to the point I don’t get sick of it! There’s a great overview of macros and various ways to achieve goals in the beginning of the book and even a couple meal plans to follow based on your goals. So many great meal options and it’s definitely been my go to over the last few months!!
