I grew up watching Pippen and the the dynasty Bulls. I found myself counting down the number of days until the release date. Unfortunately, I can describe this book in three words: petty, duplicitous, underwhelming. For someone that had such a wonderful career, and by all accounts was a great teammate, it was obvious that the book was written in response to feelings of bitterness and jealousy. There were a few moments of substance - learning about his childhood, but largely it was one dig and insult after another towards Jordan, Jerry Krause, and a couple of other teammates. I would have liked to read anecdotes about teammates and players that he played against, and more about Pippen's NBA life. Instead, it includes page after page of how he was slighted.

Scottie Pippen trashes Michael Jordan the majority of the book. I was very disappointed. He lost me as a fan

About the author
Scottie Pippen played seventeen seasons in the NBA, winning six championships and two Olympic gold medals. He was honored as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996. Pippen is the only person ever to win an NBA championship and Olympic gold medal twice in the same year. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
