About this ebook

Drekken is a dragon warrior. Bonded to his dragon, Miri, together they lead a squadron of fliers. His fliers respect him, his enemies fear him, his reputation precedes him. Yet, nothing in his life could have prepared Drekken for his greatest challenge: babysitting.

Stranded after a deadly battle, separated from his squadron and Miri, Drekken finds himself the only hope for two young empaths and their nursery group of hatchlings. He must lead them all to safety and, along the way, discover some truths about himself.

I caught on right away about the part of the main character and the hatchling dragons but was thrown for a loop when the sexual undertones fired up. Whew. Had no idea.

I love the world created in these pages. The possibilities are endless with such a setting. Beautiful story that I'd love made into a series. I'd most likely buy everyone. Yes the romantic choice is unconventional but feels true and unforced.

About the author

Sophie has been hopelessly addicted to scribbling her imaginings onto paper since she was in primary school. She suspected she was different when her friends wrote a page for their story assignments and she handed in twenty :). Since then, the addiction has only grown worse and eventually it had to spill into the professional domain.

Growing up adoring fairy tales from Hans Christian Andersen to Neil Gaiman, Sophie enjoys writing fantasy and science fiction, with a side of horror from time to time. A penchant for crime drama also slips its way into her stories as well.

Sophie is a twin and her sister, Tasha (Natasha Duncan-Drake), shares the writing bug. Together, they run Wittegen Press, an eBook publisher, with Tasha performing most of the day to day tasks, since Sophie has to carry on paying the mortgage with a job as an IT project manager.
